Made in America? Unpacking the Drivers and Impacts of Domestic Clean Energy Manufacturing

Alfred P. Sloan Foundation · 2025– · $750,000 · Co-PI

How do federal and state policies (tax incentives, place-based investments, tariffs) shape clean energy manufacturing, supply chains, jobs and decarbonization in the United States? The project builds an integrated dataset of clean energy investments, state economic development and trade; runs case studies of domestic solar and battery manufacturing; and extends the GCAM model to represent clean energy trade.
